After working for Northwest Airlines for 33 years, I retired in Aug 2005.  Liz (Horton) & I relocated to Florida in 2003 (after 32 years in Atlanta) and settled in Indian Harbour Beach in 2005.  Liz & I will be celebrating 35 years of marriage on Sept 9th.  Liz is now working part time as a home health nurse...it gets her out and she has familiarized herself with the Melbourne area & met some very nice people..  Our son, Ben is a System Engineer with A1O Networks in Atlanta.  He remarried in July of this year and now Liz & I are step-grandparents of two beautiful girls, Ashley 7 and Kate 5.  With my free time and the great weather in Florida, I've taken up bicycling and I'm riding up to 200 miles a week.  Do I miss the airlines?...Yes, but not enough to go back to work.  It's nice not wearing a watch and not wondering if your next flight will make schedule.

I moved to Sebastopol, in Sonoma County, California, in Oct '11 and I'm loving it here. I'm living in  a big house with 4 other women with varying mindfulness practices, ranging in age from 40-70. I've found luscious communities here of people passionate about Jin Shin Jyutsu (hands on healing), Dances of Universal Peace, Jeannie Zandi (spiritual teacher), Living in Truth, yoga, kirtan, organic gardening/eating, beach walking (the Pacific is 35 min from my house), Soul Motion, alternative health practices, meditation, moving in nature, joy.
After 35 years in Durango, CO, I closed my private therapy practice, sold my house, got rid of most of my stuff, said my goodbyes and thank yous, and spent last winter in Samara, Costa Rica, flirting with the idea of settling there. My kids and grandkids and the thirst for mentoring and living in community drew me back to the US.  Son Heath,  wife Andrea, and infant son Crosby live in Wenatchee, WA; daughter Liza is in Bend, OR; son Jon, wife Jessica, and their sons Nicky & Leo live in Brooklyn, NY. Their lives are busy, full, satisfying, and each is involved in new growth and learning.
I feel blessed and grateful for all that has occured in my life to bring me to where I am now. The journey has been delightful, excrutiating, difficult, full of ease, painful, fun, amazing, humbling, expansive, contracting, heartbreaking, terrifying, enlightening, profound, ecstatic. What could be better than this?
Hope to see you in October...

Where to start???   (2007)Having read through 10 pages of classmates' thoughts, was motivated to add my own...A quick update: Was married 27 years, resulting in two beautiful daughters, and a divorce.  Getting back into the dating scene was surreal, but am now happily learning all I can about Christmas Trees...Teaching 4th graders has kept me plenty busy since college, have loved it, but am looking forward to the next phase...Memories?Baker-Burgess CSI classes in the lecture hall...Jon Goodall's write-up triggered renewed fears of being chased to the beach by Dr. Bruno on Skip Day..."When You Walk Through The Storm" as our graduating class farewell song.Soon, it will ( almost ) be like we never left...Looking forward to more  "jogged memories"...June 2011Sooooooooo, four years have elapsed, I have become a doting Grandmom, retired from teaching just two days ago (Define Retirement!), and will no longer be able to get free Christmas trees, because the "Tree Man" and I are no longer dating.  I hear the artificial kind  is great...Bring it on!September 2012Four weeks and counting...Wouldn't want to miss any kind of a reunion, but this one, especially so, because apparently it has been deemed our grand finale...Any of you who are out there, close proximity or otherwise, please think about joining us. I'm sure it's not too late. Really looking forward to seeing all those who have already RSVP'd.A BIG THANK YOU TO NANCY (again!) AND BILL AND PAT for their time, effort and persistence!

I have been a Dentist for 23 years here in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Went back to Dental school after 6 years with the Maine Forest Service as a Forest Ranger. Life has been very good to me. Like Connecticut in the 60's. I have a sailboat and get on the water every weekend. Looking forward to taking it to the Carribean in a few years. I have carried many of you in my heart, wondering what has happened to you folks in the years. I hope life has been as gentle and wonderful for you as it has been for me. Nice Family, good kids.

Hello classmates I was surprised recently to receive an email out of the blue from Pat Lillis.  She had received a tip-off from a cyber-stalker and had my email address! For those who are interested:  after high school I pursued two degrees in art history, and spent a year studying in the UK and travelling in Europe towards that end, specializing in Italian Renaissance sculpture.  Art history was going to be my career. Then apparently I got side-tracked.  I married an Australian who had worked as an attorney in NY, and we moved to Australia (at that time I still thought Sydney was on the west coast of Australia).  Good grief.  It was a shock to find that Sydney was on the east coast and that there were no kangaroos in the streets.  Since I come from a family of many lawyers it was the logical thing to do law, which I did, and I can report that I was the first American woman to get admitted to practice law in Australia.  That required me to lobby to change the law, but it happened and now Americans can practice law here. Somewhere along the line I obviously believed that with having 3 sons under five years old it would be a good idea to do a PhD in law, which, in my perpetually deluded state, I did accomplish by working full time, and writing and researching full time.  I am sure that my sons’ nannies who witnessed this are still shaking their heads in disbelief.  It was pandemonium but a good career move.  I am still working as a lawyer in private practice, and probably won’t give it up.  My husband and I are still living in Sydney, Australia, and fortunately, the boys have all left home, are married (or virtually so) and have produced 3 grandchildren so far.   No doubt more are on the way, but that is not my problem!  It was great to hear from Pat, and I wish you all the very best.  Kind regards
